Bonjour mes amis! This is the Target x Neiman Marcuz collection, and I believe it’s the first time they have done this collaboration. I saw this collection after Revenge on Sunday nights for a mini commercial series  Typically I don’t fall in love with Target collections minus Anna Sui’s Gossip Girl collection circa 2009? Liz told me to go check out the stuff they had and while I was browsing online it didn’t seem that great, at first. It always happens that way to me. I guess I just need to see things in person. I went to a Super Target by my violin lessons and instantly fell in love. Originally I just went to buy the Band of Outsiders hats for Liz and I as Christmas presents, but I couldn’t help but fall in love with everything. Not only is Karlie Kloss the face of that ad but she looks so fabulous! I thought she was in the ad, but I couldn’t recognize her. She looks so fantastic with a strong cat eye and bold Target colours. If I could have anything else from the collection I would probably get the Marc Jacobs scarf, Oscar De La Renta handbag, or the Derek Lam skateboard! The prices for these collection range from $60-100. There is all kinds of things though! Pet toys, lunch boxes, clothes, shoes, the whole 9 yds. I didn’t see any makeup though, but none of the designers have their own makeup lines. It’s a pretty penny but the pieces seem like they would be very worthwhile. Lastly, Marchesa designed two dresses for little girls and I desperately wanted them to be in an XL but unfortunately life hates me! I hope you guys take the time to go check out the collection it’s definitely worth your time! See Karlie rockin’ that cat eye!

Hello everyone! This is me wearing the Monday Blues! This is my DIY Ombre shirt! Didn’t it come out fairly well? I was really thankful, because there was no way I would’ve been able to put my heart on my sleeve for another shirt. This total shirt costed 4$ or 18$ if you count the first trial and error. I didn’t spruce this outfit up much thinking that the shirt spoke for itself, even with my last blog post on how to wear ombre. I wasn’t really in the mood to make this ombre more bold than it needed to be! I paired the top with black jeans and vintage boots! You can also see my huge diamond ring in the right photo! Hope y’all had a lovely Monday, mine was crazy! Au Revoir

It’s Here! Forever 21 x Sanrio 2012
First of all everyone, I apologize for the misnomer. I posted Forever 21 x Hello Kitty 2012 in one of my earlier posts, but it’s not that at all. I’ll explain as I continue. When first glancing at this collection quickly I didn’t really like it. I kept scrolling on Liz’s stupid android and wondering why I actually decided to keep track of the days for this lame collection, but I was a little wrong. Really wrong actually. I am definitely accustomed to Forever 21’s past Hello Kitty collections consisting of very chic high fashion pieces. Pieces from the last collection are definitely not as wearable and I didn’t buy much from that collection. My first impression was that I was shocked that all Sanrio characters (for the most part, at least the popular ones) were incorporated into the line. It’s not just Hello Kitty but also, Keroppi, Chococat, and un peu de Badtz-Mary. The collection is also HUGE. There’s everything from full H2T (head to toe) outfits, Christmas gifts, beddings, and accessories! I am in love with all the pillows they included! How cute! It only makes sense to expand the collection so that it could fit Christmas demands.
I posted my favourite pieces from the collection (clearly) I also posted the most versatile and wearable pieces. Personally I have trouble buying basic pieces because I consider myself more of a super trendy person that my flaw caught up with me. I highly suggest buying more wearable pieces and that’s what I posted. I am a sucker for cardigans, and these are a little more than basic cardigans. With bright neons and a little Commes des garcons ish enigmas of Hello Kitty and Chococat, these look like they could work in all seasons. (Less or more in winter) I also am in love with the pretzel necklace. At first glance it reminded me of a designer named Onch who was on Paris Hilton’s my New BFF first season and turns out he made them! He was super talented and presh which only reflects in the necklace, itself.
Overall what I think I’ll end up buying is the scarf, and the matching blouse! Since I wear a lot of black it probably will be the best, and I can wear the blouse a lot.!
Liz, if you’re out there? Buy me these for Christmas

God Bless Nylon Mag

Today I was checking Twitter and saw that Nylon had posted about another hair chalking endeavor! This time it was from Free People, called Kisspat Hair Chalk essentially it’s another hair chalking kit! It resembles something you could get at any art store. It amazes me though because the colours are fairly dark. If you’re not up to speed on hair chalking essentially it’s another way to temporarily colour your hair. Nylon Mag is really big on keeping their readers updated with that kind of hair colouring!
Unfortunately on FreePeople’s website it is out of stock =( That’s gotta tell ya something! Lets hope it’s really great. I have nearly black hair and am always up for a new colour endeavor. All images courtesy of Nylon Mag. I’ll keep y’all updated if I end up purchasing it!

Happy Friday everyone! This outfit really has nothing to do with Perks. I just thought being in the library for most of my photos, I should name them after books! So this was my outfit! I am wearing a Bullhead Flannel from Pac Sun, over a vintage dress I got from a flea market back home in Queens, NY, Old American Eagle Flats, and a bird necklace, I got from Wet Seal (I’m sure you could find it anywhere though, it’s a pretty popular necklace)

I woke up this morning and I went to my closet, and it was a , -sigh- nothing to wear today. When I remembered Liz pinned something clever! So I’ll share it with y’all. I wore a crew sweatshirt over a dress the other day and I thought it was brilliant, but this outfit was smart! Essentially you try to make the dress look like a skirt. You have to use a belt though! I didn’t think I did a great job folding it down, but apparently I did. I got so many compliments on this “skirt” today, that I didn’t get a chance to explain it was a dress. I hope y’all find this interesting!

These Are A Few Of Her Favourite Things

Chanel Iman! I love love love her. I remember when she first started modeling for Teen Vogue, then slowly, and slowly fell into my life. She is hands down, one of the most beautiful people I have ever seen. She also has climbed the ropes of one of my favourite models in the industry as well. If someone was to ask me who my favourite model was, I would probably say Chanel. Among Chanel, I love Agyness Deynn (also a big fauve), Lindsey Wixon (GORG), Hyoni Kang, Sasha Pivovarova, and Erin Wasson- just to name a few. Moreover, I have a strong adoration for Chanel, and when I pulled up Forever 21 this morning I was super excited. It seems that Chanel loves a few of my favourite things as well. I really love the leopard coat especially because I just recently bought one, which clearly means I’m cool. The collared, and sequin shorts are a must! Also, the nude shoes are perfect too!
Her favourites are definitely a mix between glam and dark. There’s tons of collars, peplums, sequins, stripes, and leopard. High waisted shorts, and faux fur jackets with trim on it are found on the page as well. Clearly the items are a mix of fun holiday clothes. I can actually see myself wearing a lot of this stuff everyday, but even more for holidays. Even the nail polish is fun! Lots of glitter and silvers. UGH! Love her!
