As I was scouring Sephora's Just Arrived section my Macbook's mouse slowly started gravitating towards a beautiful lavender bottle with an intricate rose body, and an ornate butterfly top. As my heart grew happier, I realized that this perfume was from my all-time-forever-favourite-die4you designer Anna Sui. Sui's makeup and perfume lines are notoriously known as masterpieces not only because of their high quality and bold colour, but gothic inspired elegant packaging. I have fallen in love with the intricate way Sephora has defined this fragrance. Vive La Vie De Bohème, n'est pas?

"Born of a heart that embraces life to the fullest, the woman who seeks La Vie De Bohème is a poet. She lives half in the past with a nostalgic love for vintage, while firmly in the present with her own definition of style. She prefers authenticity and individuality to society’s norms. She won’t be tamed by convention, or controlled by the world. Self-expression and freedom are important to her, in a live-for-the-moment way. She’s playful and free-spirited, creating her own world one day at a time.

La Vie De Bohème opens with a blend of feminine pink florals, rich burgundy berries, and a kiss of electrifying, sensual woods. The juxtaposition of fruity florals plays against mysterious woods to deliver Anna Sui’s signature good girl-bad girl ideal in a captivating, addictive fragrance."

I'll certainly have to smell this fragrance in person, but I'm head over heels already.

Life is beautiful. Life is romantic. Life is La Vie de Bohème.

I have never been much of a "runner." Mainly because I don't have the endurance and my physical activities consist of running around work, longboarding, and hula hooping.

I saw these super fly Deena & Ozzy running shoes on Urban Outfitters and couldn't help but make up lots of excuses as to why I need them. When I showed a good friend of mine who runs and goes to the gym everyday she asked me, "How long does it take you to run a mile?" Sheepishly I responded, "It took me around 7 minutes back in sixth grade when they made us run." Then she asked me if I had ran all four laps, and I couldn't remember. "I probably didn't." Now thinking about it, I find the situation extremely funny, but that doesn't make my quest for these shoes any easier. They look like a good pair to run in, but let's be honest I don't run. Maybe next year when I'm at university and I decide to start working out (more or less) Le sigh. These shoes are on Urban for $39! In other news, Rachel Zoe shoes and purses are on Hautelook, a more realistic option for me probably.

My friend Helen also happened to shoot me in another outfit during our last shoot which is what I happened to wear, on a much, less boiling day yesterday while shopping with my friends. I am rocking a Village Collection maxi skirt, black v-neck, statement of the art necklace, Harajuku Lovers wedges, and Forever 21 bracelets. I am in love with this pink maxi skirt from the Village Collection. I can see myself wearing this throughout the seasons especially trudging through university. I ended up not buying as many pieces as I'd like to due to my indecisiveness, but that doesn't stop me from lusting. Village Collection also sent me a cute little postcard photograph with my order, way too sweet. I hope you guys love their clothes as much as I do. I cannot wait to see what else they have in store.

I can't believe it's friday already! Summer days seem to be going by so fast and it doesn't even feel like I am doing all that much. Father's day is in a couple weeks and I've got Rick some hardcore deluxe samples from Sephora alongside a bridal shower gift for my best friends sister Beth. I get to go to Florida in September for her wedding in Destin and I am super excited. Yesterday I went to orientation for university and it turns out that I am 2 classes away from minoring in French.! Seriously insane! Isn't that crazy?  I never thought my love for French language could turn into a degree but I'm excited! I am wearing the vest I dyed, and am tempted to make another! I am also wearing thrifted + dyed high waisted shorts, a shirt from XXI, a crystal necklace, Vans, and a Peruvian bag I bought at a sidewalk sale today. I hope you have a fabulous Friday!

Recently some mutual friends of mine have launched their collection of urban renewed bohemian clothing. It's pretty safe to say that I have fallen head over heels for the "Village" look. Supporting the KC fashion scene is really important to me because we have so many talented people! That's why Village Collection is so great is because they are a group of many people like: designers, stylists, musicians, photographers, makeup/hair artists, etc who all joined forces to help create a rad project. Courtney & Caleb Fangman are both super talented, and their passion for urban renewal is incredible. I have seen many of Caleb's fashion shows before and his work is nothing short of awesome. I have been creeping so badly on the Village's etsy and also trying not to buy everything I want, but I think I'm going to buy the D.A.R.E. tank, the pleated pink maxi, and the maroon shorts. I just want everything though ='( If you live in the KC area and want to see their collection in person they will be selling some items at First Friday's this Friday @115 West 18th Street Kansas City, MO 64108. Will I be there? I would love to but of course I have to work =/

Summer brings out my brighter side, more or less. I had a strong desire to use my dying skills and create a colorful dyed vest.

I am obsessed with pop-up stores, yet they are so rare to find in KC. A couple years ago in a fashion class we were told to create a fashion retail store from our own imagination and a buying plan. I decided to create a pop-up store called Hex. Pop-up stores hold a near and dear place in my heart because they are always filled with new items.

A pop-up store is mainly an online store that sells few quantities of on trend items that occasional travel. Which means that an owner may bring some items to a location to sell. The items sell out pretty quickly because of limited quantity and customers desires. Essentially the items "pop up" and then are gone forever. Now in Kansas City I have never seen a pop up store, but upon my feverish instagram creeping I found one, called Bogatte!

Bogatte defines itself as: "Bogatte is a clothing website for gals who are free-thinking trendsetters.

"A gal who is a free-thinking trendsetter is one who lives by her own rules, questions what society tells her and wears whatever she wants because she knows she will rock it. We like to call these rad chicks our galfriends. Our Bogatte galfriends stand out from the crowd and can easily be spotted by other BGs. Every package we send out will be made with love by one galfriend to another▲"

Whoever wrote their About Us page is a genius, not only is it a flowery description but oh so on point it just makes me smile. The other great thing about the shop is that they sell flower crowns and vintage items too! I cannot wait to get my hands on one of their crowns when they release more items!

Shop Bogatte, because I know I sure will!
