My love affair with this coat began when I visited Anthropologie (where most of my problems begin). I eyed a camel coat with ruby fur, tried it on, and instantly fell in love.
At 5'2 I am the epitome of petite and its hard to find the right fit for coats, especially long coats. I usually am drowned out, but this Cartonnier Collared Sienna Coat fit perfectly. I think I love this coat so much because I feel like a Wes Anderson character in it, a feeling itself that is quite indescribable. I love every detail of this coat, from the ruby red fur to the buttons! Every time I put this coat on I can't help but smile because its such a beauty, and I got it 30% off!
Although I'm all about breaking fashion rules lately I've been feeling like brown boots and a black coat don't mix. With this hormonal Kansas winter it gets so dreary wearing black everyday and roaming around campus while the cold weather has a field day with me. I just needed this Anthro coat in my life. Now I can finally wear my favorite Rachel Zoe boots with this coat and really spark joy.
So when you get a brown coat that matches with your favorite brown boots- do you use your go-to black purse? Well my answer to that would normally be, yes. In this case, no. Sometimes a black bag just doesn't work with a brown coat so I opted for a Coach Stewardess Bag instead. More Nancy Drew, right?
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend! See you soon.
