July Sephora Play 2017 Review

August 25, 2017

Although I know I haven't been great at keeping up with timely Sephora Play reviews I've really been trying the products thoroughly so I can give you my most detailed review starring my favorite new handbag!
This mask is why Sephora Play rules! What a generous size of a product that I was originally so unfamiliar with but now am a huge fan! This treatment is basically a mask that gets rid of impurities. There is white charcoal that absorbs impurities and purifies in addition to normal charcoal. Every time I try this treatment I love the feeling, although I haven't seen any life changing results my skin does feel more radiant without it feeling stripped. I've been consistently masking using a mix of pore, brightening, clearing, retexturing, purifying, and multasking masks. Overall I have really been enjoying the results. My skin feels so much better.
This stick claims to de-puff eyes in an instant and hydrate skin. Its infused with seawater to sooth skin and caffeine for micro-circulation. I was really excited to try this product but its pretty lackluster. I do like the fact that it cools me down before putting my makeup on and might even soothe my skin, but I don't think my eyes are truly de-puffed. I like this stick in addition to a light moisturizer in the morning, it does a good job making my skin feel cool and hydrated!

This is a primer infused full coverage liquid lipstick. It has a cream to matte formula and smells like cake! Personally this color is too light for me but I like how it applies. I'd prefer a darker colour but I think I should try mixing this color with a darker Kat Von D lipstick like the Foiled Love Lipstick in Oh My Goth.

I've only tried a couple things from IT Cosmetics but I'm slowly becoming one of their biggest fans. This mascara is extraordinary. First of all the pigmentation is incredible, and my coworker asked if I had lash extensions on! I felt like taking this mascara off wasn't as challenging as my Dior mascara or Chanel mascara which is always a plus. Lastly, this mascara leaves my eyelashes long, full, and not clumped!
I never thought I'd say it, but I love this leave-in conditioning spray. I've tried quite a few Briogeo products from Sephora Play and they've mainly been misses, but I think this one might be the one for me. This is a lightweight leave-in conditioner that helps moisturize hair. It has a blend of rosehip, aran, and coconut oil, and works for wet or dry hair. I love that its 96% naturally derived. I just took off 3 inches of my hair at the beginning of August (that's a lot for me) and this product has really been helping to moisturize my hair in addition to making it feel immensely softer (something I don't feel very often). I'm truly amazed. I definitely will be picking up a full size of this product ASAP!

I could've done without this sample =/ I've already received it in my October '15 May '16 box. I do like getting the post cards though!
Overall this was a surprisingly great month! Still wishing I could choose to swap out samples I've tried already, in addition to rating the box and its products each month. That would be a fun way to gauge product interest for skin types, but hey I just review the products! I don't work for R&D!
P.S. this purse is still my favorite thing even though I bought it last month. Vintage Toni Palm/ Bergdorf Goodman for $25. I'm still crying?! I really want to learn more about the history of this purse supposedly its from the '60s. Antiquers have any tips for me?

    1. They're a great brand I really want to try their jelly cleanser. Milk's products have great packaging, I'm still unsure whether I'm a fan or not.

It's great you liked so many of the products in your box this time around, even if there was one you had before.

Hope you had a great weekend :)
