Urban Decay Perversion

October 5, 2019

Greetings loved ones! Urban Decay sent me these goodies back in June and I am finally getting around to trying them. I have recently been trying to pan through all of my makeup before I buy/try new ones (eyeshadow is the exception of course). Back in my seventh grade years eyeliner and mascara were my go to makeup products. I would rub them off on the bus so my mom didn't see haha (CoverGirl and LA Girl mascara *cringe*). Still these two are my go-to makeup products and one isn't the same without the other. You just don't feel the same when you forget to put on mascara, honestly.
Urban Decay has three Perversion members in their family. The original Perversion mascara, a waterproof version, and an eyeliner. The waterproof Perversion mascara is the newest!
I tried this mascara a hot minute ago when I was still subscribed to Sephora Play and while I liked it I wasn't floored. This mascara claims to be ultra-creamy, lengthening and of course volumizing. Overall, I was impressed by this mascara. It lives up to all of its claims. I prefer a wet mascara formula to a dry mascara formula and was astounded by how much volume this mascara gives you. Even if you cry it doesn't run it kind of just falls off which I like because I'm a crier. The mascara is build-able but doesn't make your mascara look clumped. The only complaint I have is that the brush picks up slightly too much mascara and I find myself having to put the excess back in the tube too often.
First thought when I saw this mascara was, "WOW!" The packaging of this mascara is 11/10. Seriously so beautiful and there is a fun texture to it with the water droplets. This is the same formula of the Perversion mascara, but waterproof?! OK honestly its 2019 and I think all mascara needs to be waterproof. After we sort through all the pressing issues in global politics can we start some legislation on making all mascara waterproof?! We got some crybaby's over here!
Its so hard to talk about another eyeliner when you have a go-to. KVD Tattoo Eyeliner in Trooper is my favorite eyeliner but I think it may have met its match. This is a waterproof fine-point eyeliner. Its pigmented, the applicator is perfect (finer than KVD's), applies smooth, and the packaging is so elegant! For $22 you get 0.018 fl oz of eyeliner which is relatively affordable for an eyeliner of this caliber. I am blown away at how great this eyeliner is. I feel like finding an eyeliner that's thin enough for me but gives the right pigment is challenging. I would definitely recommend this eyeliner and it's on par with my holy grail eyeliner.
Overall I am impressed by this trio. This is definitely a pair you want to buy together.
