My friend Helen also happened to shoot me in another outfit during our last shoot which is what I happened to wear, on a much, less boiling day yesterday while shopping with my friends. I am rocking a Village Collection maxi skirt, black v-neck, statement of the art necklace, Harajuku Lovers wedges, and Forever 21 bracelets. I am in love with this pink maxi skirt from the Village Collection. I can see myself wearing this throughout the seasons especially trudging through university. I ended up not buying as many pieces as I'd like to due to my indecisiveness, but that doesn't stop me from lusting. Village Collection also sent me a cute little postcard photograph with my order, way too sweet. I hope you guys love their clothes as much as I do. I cannot wait to see what else they have in store.

I can't believe it's friday already! Summer days seem to be going by so fast and it doesn't even feel like I am doing all that much. Father's day is in a couple weeks and I've got Rick some hardcore deluxe samples from Sephora alongside a bridal shower gift for my best friends sister Beth. I get to go to Florida in September for her wedding in Destin and I am super excited. Yesterday I went to orientation for university and it turns out that I am 2 classes away from minoring in French.! Seriously insane! Isn't that crazy?  I never thought my love for French language could turn into a degree but I'm excited! I am wearing the vest I dyed, and am tempted to make another! I am also wearing thrifted + dyed high waisted shorts, a shirt from XXI, a crystal necklace, Vans, and a Peruvian bag I bought at a sidewalk sale today. I hope you have a fabulous Friday!

I get to go to Florida in September for her wedding in Destin and I am super excited. Recently some mutual friends of mine have launched their collection of urban renewed bohemian clothing. It's pretty safe to say that I have fallen head over heels for the "Village" look. Supporting the KC fashion scene is really important to me because we have so many talented people! That's why Village Collection is so great is because they are a group of many people like: designers, stylists, musicians, photographers, makeup/hair artists, etc who all joined forces to help create a rad project. Courtney & Caleb Fangman are both super talented, and their passion for urban renewal is incredible. I have seen many of Caleb's fashion shows before and his work is nothing short of awesome. I have been creeping so badly on the Village's etsy and also trying not to buy everything I want, but I think I'm going to buy the D.A.R.E. tank, the pleated pink maxi, and the maroon shorts. I just want everything though ='( If you live in the KC area and want to see their collection in person they will be selling some items at First Friday's this Friday @115 West 18th Street Kansas City, MO 64108. Will I be there? I would love to but of course I have to work =/
