Back in the day I was a self-proclaimed mall rat. I used to scour Sephora and try every Urban Decay product I could see. The pink heavy metal eyeliner and hot pink eye shadow was my go to. Although I don't spend as many days trying on Sephora products and eating Auntie Annie's pretzels I still love trying Urban Decay products. Here's my review on a few products they sent me recently.
Similar to the All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray, this is a setting spray that controls oily skin and surface shine. Although I have normal skin I can definitely see myself using this spray more often in the summer. They also sell this spray in a 1 oz. size if you need a smaller bottle for travel!

The holy grail of all setting sprays. I have loved this setting spray for a long time. This setting spray holds all kinds of makeup for up to 16 hours. I use it mainly on days where I work all day and then I go straight to class. The Cherry All Nighter Setting Spray is probably my favorite because of the scent, but this spray works like a dream.
Catcall is a red/gold glitter eyeliner. I don't use this glitter as much because a red eye is already bold, but this liner is super pretty.

Gamma Ray is a blue glittery eyeliner. Its a newer Heavy Metal eyeliner too. Overall, its a light blue glitter eyeliner. This formula was more watery than the other two.

Where has this glitter eyeliner been all my life? If I could wear this glitter eyeliner everyday I could die happy. Overall this eyeliner applies well. I do have to dip into it a few times to get the glitter coverage I'm looking for. I wouldn't say this eyeliner is watery but the formula isn't super thick.
Perversion is a black matte eyeliner. Out of the 24/7 Glide-On eyeliners its the darkest. Gosh this eyeliner applies so well. I love how creamy these eyeliners are. It definitely justifies their price!

This is a shade from the Naked Heat collection but I'm pretty sure its a permanent addition to the collection. Alkaline is a brick red/ox blood eyeliner. In some light its kind of ox-blood looking but for the most part I think its a true brick red. Like typical Urban Decay eyeliners the formula is perfect. This eyeliner doesn't look super wearable, but it looks brown-ish.

This is a pretty orange eyeliner. Although this eyeliner is also from the Naked Heat collection, it reminds me a lot of Baja from the Born to Run Palette. Out of all the Urban Decay eyeliners I feel like this one is the hardest to wear. I love orange eye shadow and this eyeliner is so orange I feel like it'd all blend together. I could try wearing it on its own, what do you think?

This is a voumizing, lengthening, and creamy mascara. It claims to glide on easily and has a texture that you can put the right amount on. Overall I wasn't super impressed by this mascara. Its definitely lengthening that's for sure. I reviewed this sample back in 2016, in this post.
Overall I was most impressed by the heavy metal eyeliners especially the new colors. For real if I could wear this Heavy Metal glitter eyeliner everyday I would.

I'm not sure when I became obsessed with red dresses. Within the past year red has been one of the fastest growing colors in my wardrobe. Red takes about 8% of my closet. Not as big as black, white, or blue but getting there! I blame Jackie O. for part of my red dress obsession. She knew how to wear red so well. Whether it be a two piece evening suit or a sleeveless dress. Jackie has become one of my biggest style inspirations. Now I tend to opt for solid colors and styles I can wear frequently. I still need a leather jacket usually but I run cold.
I had been eyeing this Hanna Racerback Dress for a long time. Its an older Anthropologie style that once retailed for $228, but I found it online wait for it... $28! Crazy how time can change the price of clothes. Initially I bought this dress with the hopes of wearing it for Christmas. Not sure why I thought this dress would be good for a Kansas City Christmas considering its usually Mr. Fries weather, but it was a good investment. If it wasn't so damn cold in KC I'd wear it this weekend.
I've never found a dress with a back that spoke to me like this one. I think its both a blessing and a curse. Its hard to find the right occasion to wear this dress since its not necessarily work appropriate or ideal for Christmas time, but I could definitely plan a date around this dress. In my opinion that's how you should do it, right?
I love pairing this dress with a great pair of heels. One of my favorite pairs is from the Altuzarra x Target collection.
My makeup is definitely Valentine's Day inspired. I love finding eye shadow looks on Instagram. There are so many for the Modern Renaissance palette. I used this IG post as my guide.
So who knows what'll happen with me and red, but there's definitely more headed to the blog. I have a romantic night of business ethics planned for Valentine's Day. I hope everyone has a beautiful Valentine's Day! I'm looking forward to the weekend though. Grabbing coffee with an old friend on Friday. Plus, I'm going to the Nelson to see the new Napoleon exhibit and grabbing Indian food. What are you upto?!

Wearing: Dress - Anthropologie (old but similar), shoes - Altuzarra for Target (old but similar), nails - O.P.I March in Uniform

Hello friends! I am finally back on the blog! This post is one I truly never saw coming. When I think of Uggs it's hard not to just think of the Simple Life. I think my mind started changing when I saw Rachel Zoe style Uggs back in 2015. If one person can change my mind its certainly her. I first saw this style of Uggs in the library during my undergrad. A student was wearing them  (very stylishly I might add) and my mind started turning. The quintessential question as always where do I get these?

I Bought a Pair of Uggs

Hi beautiful people! We had a winter storm advisory this past week with an estimate of up to 8 in. of snow (which was what we got last weekend). I was going to riot if I had to shovel again. There's something about being snowed in that I hate. Plus, I had been really looking forward to my plans to visit Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen to try some of their brand-new menu items with the bf, my best friend, and her boyfriend. Luckily we barely got any snow, and got to have a fantastic evening out at Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen. Despite all being friends for quite some time we have never gone out together. It was so nice to have some laughs and spend some quality time before I go back to school this week.
A visit to Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen isn't the same without their onion rings. For real, the first time I had these onion rings my world was forever changed. The Cajun sauce that goes with the onion rings is too good.
I had been dreaming about Cheddar's Texas-Sized Nachos all week. Nachos come in close second as my favorite food.
The Texas-Sized Nachos come with chicken or beef (chicken for me), queso, black beans, jalapenos, corn, pico, and a BBQ ranch. The salsa and queso are on the side which is nice because there is already a lot of cheese, although there can never be too much in my opinion. One thing I love about Cheddar's is that they're so accommodating when it comes to dietary restrictions. I don't feel like I have to worry unlike other restaurants.
{All smiles for this huge plate of nachos}
With this freezing weather a crispy chicken tender noodle soup is a necessity. A good cup of chicken noodle soup is always my kind of pick me up. This soup comes in a larger size in case you really need to warm up.
You can't finish off a meal without dessert. Dessert is my favorite meal/food/lifestyle. When it comes to choosing dessert the decision is never easy for me. We went with the apple crisp a la mode. Delicious! Apple crisp always needs ice cream in my opinion.
My friends shared the Cheddar's hot fudge cake, and yes it is always this size?! I've had this cake before and it is such a treat. I love that most of Cheddar's desserts come with ice cream.

All in all I definitely suggest a trip to Cheddar's. The warm atmosphere, friendly staff, and home-style food is worth the splurge. Oh and this giant slice of cake is only $5.79 so don't forget affordable too!

Hello beautiful people! It's been a minute, hasn't it?! I have been enjoying every minute of my winter break. I've had time to slow down. Really slow down. Relax with my friends. Get my nails done. Ice skate. Buy birthday presents early! Plus, I've had the time to catch up on some of my favorite shows. I finished the second season of the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and even watched all 3 seasons of Man in the High Castle with the bf!
Usually I blog more when life slows down, but I haven't had much time to shoot and have been enjoying an extended brainstorm session (or a serious case of writer's block). I'm shooting some new content early next month and I'm excited to get back into the swing of school, work, and JMC. Life moves so quickly lately I think I just needed an extended period of time to recharge, especially after my brutal stats class.

Now that I'm on my last week of break I am feeling ready for this next class (as I brace myself slightly). So in case you've wondered where I've been, I'm still here. Just enjoying living life in the present.

Talk soon, friends. New content is coming to JMC soon.
