The Pink Blazer

January 19, 2020

I'm not a big fan of the traditional blazer. However, I do love a colorful blazer that brightens up your outfit and mood. There's something about wearing pink that makes me so happy.

Initially I bought this blazer praying it'd match with my pink suit which sadly it did not. Fortunately I got this DvF blazer secondhand for $17 which eased some of my buyer remorse. This piece is still fun and works for the days when I need a dressier look.
I love to combine blazers with some great fitting denim. There's just something so fun about pairing an item that's seemingly so formal (and bright) with something as casual as jeans. I like keeping everything else simple just some fun sunglasses. You definitely could add a fun belt or a tie/bow blouse to spice up your life or make your look more formal.
Speaking of sunglasses, these Quay Kitti sunglasses have been on my wish list forever. Mainly because Chanel No. 1 wore them on Scream Queens and I'm obsessed with the shape. The perfect pair of cat eye sunglasses!
I'm about ready to move into this shop! This building makes me so happy.

In other news, I feel like I'm finally getting into the groove of post-grad school life, and it's beginning to feel less weird. My post 7:30-4 life I fill with activities to replenish myself, reading, spending time with friends, or going to events. I've started taking weekly yoga classes again which have been a fun place to find myself. I am anxiously awaiting spring in KC. Lilacs in bloom, a full moon in Aries, long walks, and I can't wait to wear my birkenstocks.

I have been shooting more content for the blog lately so stay tuned friends. Lots of sustainable style and beauty on its way!

  1. What a great blazer! I definitely need to add more bright blazers to my wardrobe - I've been wearing them more often in the office in my new role :)

Hope that you are having a great weekend :) We spent the day with my mum yesterday shopping the sales for the leap day (and getting some great toy bargains we've put away for the kids birthdays!)

  11. I have a pink blazer which I got at Zara quite a while ago, it from one of their higher end lines. I love it. You look great in this one and yes I remember when I graduated I felt like I did not know what to do with myself, but that was before I started blogging, now there is never enough time in the day lol.
