Influenster
Hi friends! Halfway through January and 2018 is already moving way too quickly! I've been getting back into the school groove, re-watching way too much Gilmore Girls, working part-time, trying to get back into my daily walks, and working on the blog. Before January slips away I wanted to share some of my current beauty favorites!

I think 2017 for me could be declared as the year of highlighters (in addition to other things like the world exploding from being so polarized), moving on! I've tried so many highlighters this year and to be honest there wasn't one that I really disliked. So when Influenster let me try Physicians Formula Butter Highlighter I was all game. Bring on the highlighters!

YSL All Hours Review

I've quoted the infamous Rory Gilmore before on the blog, her signature line (for me at least), "When did I become one of those girls with dozens of beauty products, none of which are expendable? It used to be a touch of mascara, dab of Coppertone, zip, bam, boom, out the door." I'm not sure when I moved on from moody middle school eyeliner and a bit of Almay liquid makeup to to the winged eye, full coverage foundation, highlighter, bronzer, a bold lip, and a carousel full of makeup. So I understand Rory's existential question/crisis. Although I'm not ready to discuss about how I feel on the revival, I am ready to discuss my thoughts on Marc Jacobs Beauty's Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter which I received complimentary from Influenster.

Fine, Fresh, Fierce Voxbox Review

The holidays came a bit early when Influenster sent me the Real Techniques Voxbox. I've recently been getting more into makeup brushes (other than Sonia Kashuk / Mara Hoffman for Sephora) so these were a fun, holiday surprise!

When I was in 7th grade I wanted a "cool haircut" something with choppy short layers and similar to the models on Hot Topic (surprisingly it was a cute and demure haircut?). The lady cutting my hair said the haircut I chose looked like, "Kat Von D's". Later I Googled KVD and I was amazed. Here was this beautiful, porcelain skin, tattooed beauty, everything I wanted to be. I started watching L.A. Ink religiously, I bought Kat's book High Voltage Tattoo in 2009, I even remember buying L.A Ink merchandise (flip flops + a trucker hat! 2009 was a weird year).
