The hard part about college and often life is that you have to say goodbye to those you love most. However there is almost always an upside to goodbyes. For me the upside is traveling, and seeing the incredible places the world has to offer with the ones whom I love most.
No one mentally prepares you for saying goodbye to your best friends before you leave for college.  If there is a book I could recommend I certainly would, but I just read the Dorm Room Diet by Daphne Oz...Truth be told it's pretty hard to say goodbyes to people who make your life brighter and bolder (Which I'm sure many of you know too well, I certainly do). Luckily I am a firm believer in the saying, "Absence makes the heart grow fonder" (Cliche, but definitely true). I spent the past few days in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania specifically at the University of Pittsburgh with one of my best pals Stephanie. Seeing Stephanie's integration and college life in this fascinating and diverse town has been such a blessing. Although her Christmas break was short, I got to start my 2015 with a new location and one of the best people I truly know.

We did so much in Pittsburgh. Ventured out into new places, saw incredible art museums, ate at great restaurants, screamed at each other while playing Mario Kart 8, and endured the brutal Pittsburgh weather together. My photo diary skills are still getting there, how did I do? Fortunately I was introduced to the beautiful Sanjana Dayananda who took some insanely stellar photos of me at the Carnegie Museum of Art & Natural History in some of my favourite spots. Pittsburgh was such a treat I cannot wait to visit again!

I love this summer. So many good vibes (is that a cliche?) I've been spending so much time doing my favourite things with my favourite people.

Greetings Loved Ones!
Dear Mme. Sayers as I call her (Shea) from Bon Chic Bon Gastronomique inspired me to do a "currently" post. If you ever wonder what I am doing during my long durations of disappearance  here you go!

Reading: I just finished Rainbow Rowell's Eleanor and Park. I loved almost every single moment of it, and felt just about every emotion while reading this. I don't wanna ruin anything for you, but if you're looking for something new to read, well this is it! I also have been reading David Levithan's the Lover's DictionaryIt is a compilation of stories and words all describing the crazy aspects of love.

Listening to: Oh my goodness, I cannot stop listening to Iggy Azalea's the New Classic. Let me tell you, it is classic. I can't stop humming little bits from each song! My favourite tracks have to be: Don't Need Y'all, 100 feat. Watch The Duck, Impossible is Nothing, and Black Widow feat. Rita Ora

Watching: Devious Maids. While most of my favourite shows (cough, Suits) are on break until summer I finally got around to watching Devious Maids. Turns out the drama and the cast drive me crazy, in the best way possible! The second season just started and I am beyond ecstatic.

Coveting: I have really started admiring the birkenstock trend. The only problem is the only ones I want are specifically $255 Rachel Zoe's Fawn Two Band Sandals.  What differentiates them from other birkenstocks is the metallic foil that covers the natural cork. Ultimately, the metallic foil draws me to these birkenstocks compared to others.

What else is new?
Well I will be done with my first year at university in just about three weeks! JMC has some exciting collaborations coming up too and I will finally be reunited with Katie from Katherine Campbell Photography. Speaking of, go check out her portfolio thus far. Katie and I are planning on doing one shoot a week, and I'd like to start "Life-talks with Katie" where we cover a new topic for a life-talk every shoot!
Also, I have a Starbucks barista job lined up! To keep the good vibes going, my future roommate Whitney and I also signed a lease for an apartment next year. Really exciting stuff y'all. =') Cannot wait for the summer so I can really start blogging more frequently again.
Cheesin' with my satchel from the Cambridge Satchel Co. I got for my birthday ^_^ *My roommates top!
Second pedicure of all time, how am I doing?
