I've always been a huge fan of Gwen Stefani. I'm not embarrassed to say I used to wear Harajuku Lovers clothing in middle school. Ok maybe a little, but I still love all of Gwen Stefani's clothing lines and brand extensions. I don't typically review lipsticks, but I had to review this one. With the help of my beautiful and sweet friend Emma, from Emma York Photography.

Once in a blue moon Modcloth does their Stylish Surprise. Stylish Surprise is a mystery box that used to be just apparel, but has now been extended to shoes and home goods. The last time I ordered a Stylish Surprise was in April 2014. Although I was pleased with what I received, I ended up re-gifting my dress because it suited my friend Liz much better than me.

When I unboxed this dress I instantly was surprised by the unusual print. I was intrigued, it reminded me of something Carrie Bradshaw would wear in the Carrie Diaries --- the CW show based on Candace Bushnall's book series starring Anna-Sophia Robb. Dreadful show, but it had the most amazing, and original styling, RIP!
This dress is certainly something I wouldn't instantly order but I do love it. I was also surprised to see that this dress retailed originally for $140 from the brand Emily and Fin. It's the Painted City Circus Dress, on Modcloth it's known as "Walk Down the Isle in Cosmopolitan." The only problem I have with this dress is that its a tad long, and I need to have it taken in just the slightest. However, for $15 this dress is certainly worth it!

Other than frolicking in Modcloth dresses summer has been a busy one for me. I've been interning at Anthropologie as a Visual Display Intern and it's been so much fun. Other than interning I've been going to concerts, spending time with friends and family, reading, and shopping (of course). My last read was Revolting Youth: the Further Journals of Nick Twisp and my last purchase was a pair of side-zipped denim shorts from J.Crew.

So, happy summer, friends. Let’s make this a beautiful one, the most beautiful yet. I challenge you to put on your favorite dress, and dance around to the Wombats. You can thank me later!

I'll preface this post by saying that Total Divas on E! is one of my guilty pleasures. I'm not ashamed! During an episode I saw Brie Bella wearing this beautiful and unique looking star print dress. Instantly I started searching for the dress and after scouring I found out that it was Free People's Star Foil Jasper Midi Dress. I shouldn't be too surprised because Brie wears FP often. My next step, (as always) was to find it on eBay. Where I found this dress brand new for $30. A steal considering this dress used to be $168.

In honor of my 21st I wanted to do something I'd never done on Je M'appelle Chanel before. Really discuss my life, raw, real, and some life lessons I've learned thus far. I also wanted to take some time to document my style at this age. Luckily, Emma (from Emma York Photography) had my back and we had such a great time taking these pictures in the rain.
