Buzz Buzz!

August 18, 2016

Greetings everyone! Now that my internship at Anthropologie has been completed I’ve been back at the Bucks slinging drinks and hiding behind our espresso machine. I finally made a purchase from Anthropologie during my time there!

This adorable Winnie Buttondown by HD in Paris blouse in black. I’m facing my bee fear, head on. Haha just kidding, I thought this shirt was adorable from the moment I saw it. Although, I didn’t instantly see 17 different ways I could wear this top, I did think it’d be an essential summer blouse. I could also see myself wearing this underneath a white thermal during winter.

I head back to school tomorrow to start my senior year of college. Any advice? I’m going to try to do yoga more often, learn calligraphy, and I plan on re-watching Sex & the City. I watched SATC religiously through high school and am excited to restart the series! Carrie will always be one of my favorite characters.

I have been dying to shop lately but since I downsized my closet, intentional purchases are at the top of my list. If I can't see myself wearing something multiple times or as I like to quote one of my favorite Lindsay Lohan characters Hallie Parker from the Parent Trap, "A lot, a lot" I honestly just can't bring myself to buy it. However, that doesn't stop me from browsing! At the top of my list is an embroidered pilots jacket from H&M and a v-neck wrap around top. I've been wanting either a turtleneck bodysuit or just a super skin tight turtleneck. Gwen Stefani is to blame! I've had a fascination with Wet N' Wilds 1 Step Gel polish so I'm considering trying it out once I sell all my gel manicure products on Poshmark. I've also been needing a new face wash. I've loved Soap & Glory and their face wash is one of my favorites plus its affordable $12 for 11 oz. on Ulta! What?!

Hope everyone is soaking up these sweltering rays and these last few beautiful weeks of summer. Pumpkin Spice will be here before we know it!

Wearing: Top – Anthropologie, jeans – BDG Twig High-Rise Skinny Jean Blue Lagoon, shoes – Harajuku Lovers (old, find on Poshmark), lips – NYX soft matte lip cream in Milan, nails - OPI Russian Navy

  9. This is such a cute shirt, girlie, it's so unique, I don't believe I've seen one with a bee print before! I love how you added a pink lip, it goes so well with the navy color. I'm the same way when it comes to shopping. I try to think about how many uses I'll get out of it and base my decision off that. As for your senior, my best advice would be to start preparing for any exams you'd have to take for getting into graduate school, if those are your plans, such as the GRE or MCAT. Also, try and do a lot of volunteer work or continuing on with interning, it really does open a door of possibilities to landing a great job after graduation, even if it's not for that specific company, many of the department heads have great connections they can refer you to. When I was pursuing med school, I volunteered at 3 hospitals in as many units as possible. When I did my postbacc program, many of the students were trying to apply for internships or volunteer work, but weren't able to get in. I hope this helped, beauty, and have a great weekend ahead!
