A Toast to New Year's Eve Style

December 23, 2016

I'm finally done with Christmas shopping! However I couldn't help but wonder, what's next? New Year's Eve!
I'm all about ringing in 2017 and New Year's Eve in style. I teamed up with Halls in Kansas City to curate my New Year's Eve picks. I'm a firm believer in being comfortable and stylish (a little sparkle never hurt anyone either). I've served up some sparkly, comfortable, and stylish picks that'll inspire you into the new year. I also incorporated Pantone's 2017 Color of the Year Greenery into some of my picks!

Enjoy!
I love the versatility of this Lovers + Friends Haley dress. Its perfect for NYE plus any occasion out!

Ready for NYE in this Scotch & Soda Gold Lurex Tuxedo Blazer. Put your pinky rings up to the moon!
I love that Halls always has new Milly items every time I visit. The pink Milly bell sleeve silk top is so fun and flamboyant.

I found myself twirling around Halls in this Milly Roxanne Graphic Grid Jacquard Dress. I love that you could wear a button up underneath it if you needed some extra warmth or sleeves.
Although I hardly wear skirts Milly's embroidered lace classic midi skirt is the perfect party skirt!
Ending 2016 in evergreen seems absolutely necessary. Especially with this Paper Crown Amsterdam Dress. Its beautiful on all shapes and sizes. The detail of the floral fabrication is impeccable you have to see it in person. You can actually rent this dress on Rent the Runway for $55-$70 if you can't get it in stores.

I'm all about the staying in life. But if I didn't dress like Chanel #1 from Scream Queens to stay in who would I be? Thank you Halls for bringing me to my true love Bless'ed are the Meek Melt faux fur coat. This coat makes you feel spectacular.
This plaid Delvin Franny fit & flare dress is the perfect cozy NYE staying in dress.

I don't think I've ever owned a white dress in my life and that really perplexes me. This Cupcakes & Cashmere Jacey dress is a simple, comfy, and clean pick for NYE + any other weekend event where you want to spice things up.

A good cozy sweater is of course a necessity for stylishly staying in. This sweater is Rebecca Elliott I couldn't find it online so I linked some suggestions, but even a better reason to visit Halls and get it in person!

I think watching Mariah's World on E! is getting to me. This vest looked so snuggly and Mariah-y when I first saw it I fell in love. Although it is pricey its the best fur vest I've ever seen. Thank you Linda Richards for its existence.

Of course a cute, comfortable, and sparkly v-neck is a must for NYE and all occasions. The Blair tee from Cupcakes and Cashmere is a need. Its more sparkly in person too!
Albeit I'm not a big jewelry girl (years of emulating JLo in 2006 broke me) I do think jewels (big and small) are important for ringing in the new year.
Kate Spade's Blooming Brilliant Statement Necklace is enough to upgrade your NYE look in a simple but elegant way.
If not a necklace a beautiful signature ring can upgrade any casual NYE outfit. I loved this Trellis Bloom Double ring, its surprisingly very comfortable for a double ring. This pearl cuff is also so cute especially if you just wear a minimalistic watch like me.
Kate Spade's earrings are oh so fabulous. This pair would look great with any hairstyle for your night out.

These green beauties were calling my name. I love the vintage look and the fact that they incorporate perfectly with the Color of the Year.

Halls has such a beautiful accessories selection with brands like Kate Spade, Vanessa Mooney, Kendra Scott, and DVF to name a few!
You can't celebrate NYE without a great (sparkly) purse, right? I love Furla bags, this blue crossbody is too stunning. They also make it in black!

I adore Furla Candy Cookie Small bags. This green cookie bag is perfect to get into the 2017 Color of the Year Greenery. I would personally pair this bag with white to showcase it, but I think there is so much room to dream with this purse.
I'm typically not a Michael Kors gal but I couldn't help but think about ringing NYE in with this gold Ginny medium studded leather crossbody. Its the perfect size for all your goods and the tassel is everything.

I've been a Jimmy Choo girl for as long as I can remember. I'm pretty sure my heart skipped a beat when I saw these pairs of Choos at Halls. The Antique Rose Lucy Leather Pair is definitely the most versatile, and a beautiful treat.
The Abel Glitter Pointed Pump in Light Bronze has my heart. They're the perfect pair to start 2017 (best paired with Baz Luhrmann's Great Gatsby Original Soundtrack playing loudly).
Instantly when I saw these Frances Valentine Marybeth Pompom Ankle Strap Pumps I fell in love. I love the pom trend and these pumps are just too darling. They're perfect for a night out and can translate to other functions as well.
Recently Tory Burch has really had my heart. I feel like Sailor Moon with her huge heart eyes pulsing when I see her shoes lately. These Belleville Ballet Flats are so mod and epitomize NYE style. Black and gold is my favorite combination. I like that these flats say so much and so little all at once. The little heel on these flats make them even more darling.
I love these Prada Fringed Burnishes Leather Brogues. They're very Nancy Drew circa the 2007 movie with Emma Roberts. Here's to the brown black shoe trend!

I've been really wanting a pair of black loafers. I think La La Land made the oxford/loafer lust stronger. I blame A Lovely Night's dance number its too good. I love that this Frances Valentine Greta pair has such bold tassels. This pair is perfect for a night out in trousers, jeans, or a dress!

I would argue the best accessory for ringing in the new year is of course a beautiful planner. Being organized is truly a beautiful thing. Kate Spade's 'mega' 17 month agenda is enough to get any procrastinator excited.
In the end I think New Year's Eve style is ultimately about what works the best for you whether it be being luxuriously comfy or sparkling the night away. I hope everyone has a safe and fun Christmas, NYE, & 2017. I have so many exciting things coming to JMC in 2017, stay tuned.
