Spring Beauty Favorites

March 28, 2018

Ah my first love makeup, or is it my second? I am finally sharing some of my April beauty favorites/Marshalls finds and what's on my wish list for the Sephora Beauty Insider sale.
I posted about this palette back in January when I first got it, but I had to share a picture. Although I am so brand loyal to Kat Von D I don't buy everything (even hard for me to believe), and the Metal Crush eyeshadows were $21 a piece so I initially passed on them. Not too long ago I tried on Raw Power (the last color) in stores and was taken aback- where have they been all my life? I like the shade range of this tiny palette so much. Its a mix of neutrals with a couple bold colors. I sort of a wish there was a color in between Oak and Velvet (the last two matte shades) but I digress. Overall such a nice palette, I'm obsessed!
I spotted this beauty when I visited my Dad back over winter break- who coincidentally loves Marshalls/TJ Maxx just about as much as me. My eyes nearly fell out when I found this palette in my shade range for $20. It originally retails for $40?! This contour kit has three shades of contour and three shades of highlight. They are so beautiful and pigmented. Although I don't use this palette as much as I'd like because I'm finishing off my Shade and Light palette its going to be my next in rotation! The highlight shades are a little peachier than I expected, but the shimmer on the top left is fabulous. I also like the contour shades and that this palette is refillable.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Concealer in 3.0
I was in such a desperate need of concealer after I finished off my KVD Lock-It Concealer's and was looking for something that was full-coverage as well but without the price tag. I paid $6.99 for this concealer but it retails for $20?! It looks like their discontinuing this concealer but its pretty nice! It is definitely full coverage and applies slightly heavy.  I feel like my fine lines are a little more prominent with this concealer, but I just try to use it below my under eyes. I try to blend it in to my foundation with my Lock-It Foundation brush and that works well. I do think it has a little bit of a weird smell, but aside from that its perfect!

I've been running out of my BeautyBlender solid cleaner so I was on the look for a new brush cleanser at Marshalls when this purple bottle caught my eye in the clearance bin. I have been really liking the brand the CRÈME especially their micellar makeup wipes, and this packaging was pretty cute! This cleanser is not fantastic alone. It works best against my BeautyBlender grip. I like the pump and although I know I shouldn't account packaging even if a product isn't great, but I still like it for $4.

This eyeshadow primer corrects and primes the lid for a smooth base. I typically use e.l.f. eye primer (I know, I know) so this stuff is an upgrade for sure. I had been using an Essence eye primer which is thick af so this eye primer is such a step up from both the e.l.f. eye primer and the Essence primer I had been using. I bought a bunch of these from Marshalls. $5 primer is something I can get behind! This formula is slightly chalky but definitely lives by the "lock-it" motto. After taking all my makeup off with my favorite micellar wipes this primer was still sort of there like who can say that about their eye primer?! I know KVD is trying to make all her products vegan so I wonder if this ending up at Marshalls/clearanced its a combination of upping the formula and turning it vegan?

Also,  I've been pretty excited about the upcoming Sephora BI Sale. I have been promising myself that I will treat myself to some new beauty products. I have been most looking forward to adding Kat Von D brushes to my collection to round out my brushes. I also am in desperate need of some CC cream and I'm hoping the Astrology by Bite Limited Edition Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Aries gets restocked soon! I have also been eying the KAT VON D Studded Kiss Crème Lipstick - Divine as well!

Well that's all folks. Check out my picks below and I listed links for the products above too in case you're interested. Stick around next week to see what I'm reading!
