Hello Spring

April 21, 2019

Seasons 52 invited me to visit their restaurant to try out their new Hello Spring menu. What I found interesting about Seasons 52 is that their menu changes with the seasons and they pour 52 world-class wines (and yes they serve cappuccinos too). Surprisingly, I had never been to Seasons 52 before although I have solicited in front of their lovely tulips on the Country Cub Plaza on several occasions.

With my crazy schedule finding time for my friends, myself, and the blog can be a challenge, so I love when it works out that my world and the blogging world conveniently collide. In this case my best friend Victoria and I decided to make this meal my birthday dinner which made it even more fun to look forward to. The Hello Spring menu consists of a starter, main dish, and adorable dessert (the best part). Three courses for $29.95, such a great deal!

We started with a couple of appetizers. The first being a Spring Vegetable and Parmesan Flatbread. Basically a flatbread with asparagus, spiced zucchini, roasted tomatoes. Our waiter told us that these were a super common menu item so we decided to try it. As someone who hates bread I did like this appetizer. It was crunchy and all the vegetables were delicious. There was a sweet note that I couldn’t quite pinpoint which I wasn't a huge fan of. Aside from that it was a good portion for two before a main meal.

We also had the Grilled Shrimp and Avocado Cocktail. It was a pretty arrangement of grilled shrimp and the avocado-lime crema was delicious. I could’ve eaten six of these honestly.
I started my 3-course meal with the spinach and strawberry salad. It was a refreshing salad with almonds, gorgonzola, and balsamic dressing. I was surprised by how much I liked this salad as balsamic is one of the last dressings I’ll usually choose. Although this picture looks small this is a very generous portion for a starter salad.
For my entrĂ©e I chose a chicken ravioli with pesto ricotta. There was about 8 raviolis filled with chicken served with roasted asparagus and lemon vinaigrette, and pesto ricotta. I am a fan of pesto and this was a great medley of a pasta dish for me. It wasn’t too heavy or cheesy or meaty. I usually feel guilty about eating ravioli but this one was completely guilt free.
I finished off the meal with one of Seasons 52’s mini indulgences aka a small dessert shooter. There are seven indulgences you can choose from (pecan pie, key lime, mocha macchiato, strawberry rhubarb cheesecake, peanut butter torte, raspberry chocolate chip cannoli, and belgian chocolate s’more). Key lime pie is my entire life, so I had to choose that dessert shooter. Overall it was a nice dessert. Like I said I live for key lime pie and this shooter was on the sweet side versus the great combo of tart which I crave. Overall these desserts are a great value for $3, and under 400 calories. To be completely honest I really craved something bigger for dessert afterward these, as dessert is my favorite part of the meal. How can it not be?!
I had such a nice time having my early 24th celebration birthday here with my best friend trying the Hello Spring menu. There are a lot of healthy/low-calorie options and they have vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free menus! Overall, I really liked the atmosphere of Seasons 52, it was casual yet classy. I would definitely stop in again to try another seasonal menu.

Reflecting on 23 I realized that I spent a lot of time holding on to unnecessary anger. My goal for 24 is to grow, spend more time appreciating what I have versus trying to change what I know I cannot, and coping with shortcomings in a healthier way. Nevertheless, I’m so grateful for another year and the new horizons life has in store for me. The heart of life is always good.

Check out Seasons 52 friends, this menu is only here for a short time!
