Pixi Perfect

May 21, 2019

Pixi Beauty is not a new brand to me although to be completely honest the only product I've tried from them over the years was a lipstick. I am still very familiar with their light green and pink packaging I've eyed at Target over the years. Created by Petra Strand, Pixi is all about a radiant "good night's sleep" look. These days that's all I really yearn for.

So when Pixi sent me this insane box I was so ecstatic to finally try these products. I knew Pixi Beauty had such a wide range of affordable skincare and beauty products since I've seen them grace the shelves of Target.
DetoxifEYE Facial Treatment

I've actually never tried any eye mask befores, so I was excited to try this one. These hydrogel patches fit right under the eye and claim to de-puff eyes instantly. I don't have puffy eyes (dark eyes, yes) so its hard for me to say whether my eyes looked de-puffed but they did feel refreshed. These last about 30 minutes before they dry out, but I can use them while I watch Riverdale without commercials.
This is a brightening sheet mask with glycolic acid. I was really surprised the first time I tried this mask and my skin wasn't brightened. I've had such good results with Pixi products thus far. I need to give it another try, but I was a bit bummed out by the lack of results.

I've surprisingly never tried a T-Zone mask. At first the texture of this mask felt too light to be a peel off mask but it worked. I'm not sure if I liked it though. Even after watching an episode of Killing Eve with it on it was still heavy and slightly sticky. Ok I am a wimp when it comes to pore strips but taking this one off really hurt, and I'm not just being dramatic! I tried it again recently and did feel like my pores were smaller after using it. I still cried because I'm a wimp but the results are there.
I wasn't sure what this product was at first. A peel off mask? A polishing mask? Actually its an enzyme peel. Which is a blend of natural ingredients (fruit enzymes) that exfoliates the top layer of skin. There are three main ingredients in this peel. Lactic acid, papaya fruit extract, and sugar cane extract. The mix helps exfoliate the skin, improve skin texture, and help reveal skin's natural glow. You should use these peels a few times a week. I really liked this product. It only needs to be on for a couple minutes at a time which is nice when I just need a quick pick-me-up after class or work. After a couple uses of this my skin felt so good and looked so good in the morning. This was one of those products I thought really fit with Pixi's mission. I would definitely repurchase.

The first thing that I really liked about this mask is that its a lighter mud mask. With other brands mud masks are so thick and heavy, it was refreshing to try a lighter feeling mud mask. I also liked that there was a little fragrance in this mask too although I know that can be a deal breaker. I feel like this mask is an average mud mask I haven't noticed any significant glowing or clearing but I love the way my skin feels after usage.

Overall I was impressed by Pixi Beauty products and would definitely repurchase a couple of these. Have you ever tried Pixi Beauty? I'm also giving away some Pixi products on my IG, check it out here!
