Trying Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky

September 20, 2020

Hello, world! I can't remember the last time I posted so many style posts?! I promise I'm still using beauty and skincare products over here. Honestly, I feel like I've never used so many skincare products in my life than recently. My empties box I sent to Terracycle was over 10 lbs! Nevertheless, today I'm reviewing the Hydrating Milky collection that Pixi Beauty released a hot minute ago.
I am OBSESSED with this PR packaging. The milk cartons are so cute!
I'll admit that I'm impressed by this makeup remover. It feels light and not terribly oily on my face. Probably because it contains  coconut extracts, probiotics, willow bark, and cinnamon extract (provides anti-inflammatory benefits). These ingredients definitely payoff creating a lighter makeup remover. I wear less and less makeup these days but that doesn't mean I can't take it off properly! This stuff does what it promises and you don't have to use very much! Definitely something to pick up if you are looking for a new makeup remover.

Overall this is a is super creamy and gentle facial cleanser which provides a great lather. The texture of this cleanser is thick so you don't need more than a small drop to get a rich lather. However, my face feels slightly tacky after washing my face which I'm not the biggest fan of. After you towel dry your face the feeling does get better but its an odd feeling. Similar to the makeup remover it has soothing ingredients. I think I'm going to start use this cleanser regularly in the evening.

Pixi Beauty is known for their toners so I was psyched to try this one and it smells sooo good. As we move into cooler weather here in the midwest I need something soothing for the evenings. This tonic can be used in AM/PM though like most of the other PB toners. I use a lot of brightening/glow toners so its nice to have a soothing one with  ingredients like jojoba milk, oat extract (soothes/hydrates), and green tea. I can see myself using this toner on the days where I go crazy on my skin routine before I do my makeup.

Oddly enough the HML can be used both as a face and body lotion? This lotion is a great pick for A/W. Its filled with great ingredients like Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Cocoa Seed Extract, and Sweet Almond Oil. I think this lotion would be great for winter tbh.

This serum kind of reminds me of the Fresh Beauty rose deep hydration face serum because of its texture. A couple drops goes a long way and can be used in the AM/PM. I think this would be a good product for people who are new to skincare.  Its an easy everyday product that can be incorporated into your routines. Jojoba oil, aloe vera, and vitamin c & e- what's not to love? This serum has helped soothe my skin and tame some unruly blemishes!

Idk why I get so damn excited about a facial peel? Maybe because I don't have any rn. This is a micro-peeling cream that clears dead skin cells to brighten your complexion. Basically you cleanse your face, then apply a small layer of milky peel and leave on for a few minutes, and then rinse off. I really enjoy Pixi Beauty's peels. I previously tried the Peel and Polish and was impressed. This peel is a nice pick me up with such soothing ingredients. Plus, my skin felt great and looked better when I woke up which is always a win.
So friends what do you think? What products have been soothing to you lately?

This week has been a hard one. Sometimes it seems like 2020 will never end but still I try to find moments in the day to be grateful for. I'm taking some PTO next week to rejuvenate and re-align. Be good to yourselves, friends. I say this with love, talk soon.

I received these products courtesy of Pixi Beauty. All opinions are always my own.
