September Sephora Play Review 2017

November 10, 2017

Hi friends! Another fashionably late Sephora Play review, but I also figured I'd get a chance to talk about my Beauty Insider Holiday Bonus picks.

Moisturizer, night serum, shampoo/conditioner, liquid lipstick, eyeliner, and a brow sample. I was a pretty happy girl with this box. Although I've tried the Belief cream plus the eyeliner before but overall I'm not too upset. I am anticipating the need for new moisturizer but have been feeling too cheap to actually go buy a $15 Ole Henriksen moisturizer from Marshalls.
This month was a pretty versatile box. I've been using everything pretty routinely and am almost out of the Belief cream and Algenist Night Serum already.
Such a pretty pink bag this month!

Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel in Deep
I'm all about brow products in Sephora Pay! I've always wanted to try Benefit's eyebrow products, but never got around to it. Its always nice when my Sephora Play subscription comes in handy. This brow gel is perfect its shade is "deep" which is dark enough to fill my brows in with the same heavy, untamed, Lorde-y eyebrow look I go for.
This is the third time I've got this eyeliner and I want to act like I hate that I got it but I always need eyeliner! This eyeliner is a great one when its brand new but I always have such a hard time sharpening it. I do like adding this eyeliner on top of the e.l.f eyeliner I've been using just to deepen up the liner.
This night serum is a concentrated solid serum. Its supposed to refine dull skin and uneven complexions. It has Alguronic Acid, which regenerates and protects the skin. I've been adding this to my night regimen and at first I didn't see any noticeable differences but about a week in I noticed my skin was definitely looking less dull and brighter. I had some redness the past couple weeks and this baby definitely helped take some of it away.
I was so excited to try this mini. I'm not a huge Urban Decay gal but I did I love the Gwen Stefani Urban Decay lipsticks. This liquid lipstick is such pretty, a satin-matte brick rose shade. I don't have any shades that are similar to this lipstick. I did find this liquid lip to be pretty drying and patchy at times. I gave it another shot and it had a nice, less drying finish. I prefer not to use a lip scrub or mask with this lipstick.
I've received this cream before and its very nice. Somehow its cooling, light, and super moisturizing all at once. Great for when I start my makeup in the morning with such a different feeling from my night cream. I'm not sure how I run out of it so quickly?! I guess my double moisturizing. Definitely a nice moisturizer to get in my SP box.
I'm back on my break up with shampoo and conditioner. Over the summer I cheated once a week with regular shampoo and conditioner because my hair is so damn oily. But these cooler days help keep my hair in check. I did try this shampoo/conditioner on my cheat day, Sunday, and wow my hair felt amazing! I think B&B shampoo is a great, but over priced and not necessarily life changing. If I were to ever switch back to luxe shampoo and conditioner over cleansing conditioner this one would be a pick if I could find it at Marshalls lol.

Since the Holiday Bonus Event is going on I'm definitely lusting a few things but first here's what you need to know. Also if you reach VIB during this promotion you can use the 20% code rather than the BI code. I'm only $10 away from VIB which I haven't been in 4 years so this is pretty exciting for me!

This list is a combination of my Xmas list/ just things I've been wanting for awhile now, but I figured I'd share. I will definitely be buying the Clare V. clutch as I've been wanting it foreverrrrrrr and its finally on sale!

Overall an interesting and useful Sephora Play box! I've been using all these products, and they've come in handy for the times when I've wanted to try something new here and there. Thanks for stopping by friends. Anything on your lust list from Sephora?

  3. Oh wow, what a lovely treat! :) Is the sephora box similar to Glossybox - a monthly box? Or do you have to buy it in store? I've never heard of it before but it sounds/ looks great! x
