I'm obsessed with Gen Z. From their style to their march-to-a-beat-of-their-own-drum-kinda-attitude, there's something about this cohort that's special. I'm especially obsessed with their style. I love that they have found a way to balance comfort and uniqueness vis-à-vis different silhouettes that us millennials tend to stray away from.

You might remember the 3 year dress, but move over for the 13 year dress. When I was in 8th grade I remember seeing the Anna Sui S/S 2008 RTW collection on Vogue.com and it changed my life. It was so eclectic. So much about the collection spoke to me. The colored wigs, the retro style, you name it.

An interesting fact about me is that surprisingly my favorite designer is not Chanel (a close second). It's actually Anna Sui! I've loved Anna's work for a very long time. She's created so many archetypes in her designs ranging from punk to Americana that make her work so multifaceted and interesting. I think that's why I love her work so much. You can dress mod or punk depending on the day when wearing Anna Sui! Also, she's collaborated with so many great brands like Hello Kitty, Barbie (She has her own collector Barbie doll which I still want tbh), Free People, Target, etc. I got this book for my birthday and its probably one of my favorite because it really delves into Anna's designs and archetypes.

Hello friends! Can you believe we are nearing the end of October?! I'm so sad to see October go so I have been trying to do all the fall things! Pumpkin pie concretes at Andys, carving pumpkins, watching Scream with my best friend, and enjoying this lovely weather!

Last spring I got an invitation in the mail from my best friend/sister to be a bridesmaid in her wedding. I started bawling in my kitchen. This was the first time I have been asked to be someone's bridesmaid! Seeing someone I love so much get married to the love of her life is one of those moments that you feel so grateful and lucky to be apart of. My sister is the coolest person ever because she told her bridesmaids that we could pick out our own dresses because she wanted us to be able to wear them again. Her only guiding advice was that our dresses be around the shade of a blue orchid.

I've been trying to complete the color rainbow in my dress collection lately. Besides yellow, green has been the hardest to find. I had been inspired by this picture of Audrey Hepburn promoting the film Funny Face (which is arguably the best AH film if you ask me). Tippi Hendren's green suit in The Birds  is also another close source of inspiration. Nevertheless, finding a green dress of that caliber and one that could function for work events, weddings, and life wasn't an easy task.

When I was in undergrad my friends would tell me that all the clothes I bought looked the same. It was always something I thought was funny because in a way its sort of true. I tend to gravitate towards silhouettes and styles that I'm familiar with and that I know will suit my petite frame. I'd rather buy iterations of things that I would actually like then invest in trendy pieces that aren't durable.

Back when the Hunter for Target Collection dropped I was on the fence whether I needed this short sleeve romper. By the time I decided to purchase it the romper was gone. However as fate would have it a seller on Poshmark had it listed for $6, NWT!
