I've been getting back into the school groove, re-watching way too much Gilmore Girls, working part-time, trying to get back into my daily walks, and working on the blog. Hello beautiful people! This past month's Sephora Play box was all about self-care before the holiday season. Well the holiday season came and went, but for me self-care is a daily/weekly thing. From lighting a candle, to buying a coffee, to making time to read 7 pages of a novel a night. I really did appreciate this month's Play Book with a section called, "In Defense of Staying in," with tips on the how to have a perfect night staying in. Nevertheless, this month's products were a good mix of hair, beauty, skincare, and fragrance. Fragrance is usually is my most missed item but it was a hit this month. Keep reading to hear this month's musings.

And just when I wanted to cancel Sephora Play back in April they hook me back in. I can't even begin to exclaim my excitement when I saw the Kat Von D mini in my bag and a couple samples I enjoyed back from previous bags! My beauty routine has been in a rut lately so I've really been looking forward to these samples.

I was pleased to see an Anne (with an E) of Green Gables like character when I opened my Sephora Play box a couple months ago. Although this bag was filled with essentials like primer, moisturizer, exfoliator, makeup remover, and eyeliner I was a bit frustrated with this Sephora Play bag.

I've quoted the infamous Rory Gilmore before on the blog, her signature line (for me at least), "When did I become one of those girls with dozens of beauty products, none of which are expendable? It used to be a touch of mascara, dab of Coppertone, zip, bam, boom, out the door." I'm not sure when I moved on from moody middle school eyeliner and a bit of Almay liquid makeup to to the winged eye, full coverage foundation, highlighter, bronzer, a bold lip, and a carousel full of makeup. So I understand Rory's existential question/crisis. Although I'm not ready to discuss about how I feel on the revival, I am ready to discuss my thoughts on Marc Jacobs Beauty's Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter which I received complimentary from Influenster.
