Sequins and Florals

August 27, 2020

If you know one thing about me you probably know how much I love flowers. So when I heard that the Posey Flower Cart was selling blooms on wheels in a vintage single horse trailer I knew I had to go check it out. The cart pops up around all over Kansas City.

You can make your own bouquet by selecting flowers like I did which are then arranged by the cart owner, Angela. Also, you can buy a gorgeous pre-made bouquet for a set price. This was such a fun experience and truly brightened my day!

Be sure to check out the Posey Flower Cart's Instagram for the most up to date details about their whereabouts!

What's funny is that I've had this dress since last summer, but I've never really worn it out. To go back then knowing what I know now I'd be running around in this sequin dress everyday, but I digress. I had this dress on my wishlist for a few years before I finally bought it. Mainly because I could never find it in my size and I just wasn't sure if it was more of a want than a need. When I finally found it for $30 (originally retailing for $175) I scooped it up! I'm still deciding if this piece was a want or a need but it's definitely a fun piece to have even if I've only worn it twice.

I love this dress because it makes me feel like Daisy Buchanan. A rarity considering I'm the furthest thing away from a Kentucky debutante.

I keep saying this but I've never felt life change so quickly than right now. I'm adapting but it's different y'know? I recently got a new job and started watching the Sopranos again. Besides that there's not much else to share! I've been spending time with my friends again (distanced and masked for the most part). The other day I had coffee with a friend outside Starbucks and I can't explain how grateful I felt to be able to do that again. It's funny how we forget that it's the little things in life, it's always the little things. Wherever you are I hope you are safe and well. Talk soon, friends.

A huge round of applause to my dear friend Mallory for these beautiful pictures.

  7. What a beautiful dress! I know that must've been a good feeling to rekindle that love for it. I like when I find pieces in my closet I love, but haven't really worn much. It challenges me to find ways to wear it. That flower truck is just too cute! What a great concept. I bet it's so popular, too, since it makes the perfect photo backdrop! Happy new month, girlie!
