Greetings, friends! So much has happened since I last wrote. I interviewed for a new role that seemed perfect for me, got it, and quit my job. I’ve been working full-time in the office for the past few months which has been a transition.

Greetings, friends! So much has happened since I last wrote. I interviewed for a new role that seemed perfect for me, got it, and quit my job. I’ve been working full-time in the office for the past few months which has been a transition.
My beloved turned 32 and we decided to take a trip to our favorite city! So I got to work deciding on what to pack for five days using my Stylebook app – which actually was recently updated?! – did all the pre-work like stopping by the cobbler, dry cleaner, etc, and then we hopped on a flight where I tried to watch Gladiator II (Spoiler alert: I did not finish it).

Hello, beautiful people. I know the blog has been out of sight, but it's been on my mind. I've been spending less time online and well, more time, just living, which is in fact a lot these days. My portal took me to the streets of Chicago, a place I was entirely unfamiliar with, but felt so familiar once I arrived. If you're looking for a portal check out some affordable vacation packages.

The timing of the universe is a funny thing. Sometimes you have a plan and then the plan falls entirely apart and then a better one comes together, a portal opens. My portal took me to the streets of Chicago, a place I was entirely unfamiliar with, but felt so familiar once I arrived. If you're looking for a portal check out some affordable vacation packages.

This past April I went to NYC for the first time in a very long-time. I saw my family. I gained perspective. I laughed. I cried. Coming home to KC was a very clarifying time in my life. I decided that I wanted to spend more time in the city I love the most with those I love the most. That decision has been one of the best ones I have made in a long time. I spent seven days with my family in this beautiful city that has endured despite going through so much. I was so happy to be apart of it all. Here's a little recap of my time in the Big Apple.
Here's a fun fact about me, I've always wanted to visit Alaska! Ever since I read Into the Wild it has always been a dream of mine to see Alaska. Sometime ago my mom asked me if I was interested in going on an Alaskan cruise with my extended family. To be completely honest at first I said no because of my summer classes. My summer classes ran all the way through the week of our cruise and I had no idea whether I would finish all my coursework. However, with a lot of planning I managed to get it all done. Here's a fun fact about me, I've always wanted to visit Alaska! Ever since I read Into the Wild it has always been a dream of mine to see Alaska. Sometime ago my mom asked me if I was interested in going on an Alaskan cruise with my extended family. To be completely honest at first I said no because of my summer classes. My summer classes ran all the way through the week of our cruise and I had no idea whether I would finish all my coursework. However, with a lot of planning I managed to get it all done. As promised here is my photo diary!

When the City of Independence reached out to me for an influencer visit I was shocked when I looked at my calendar and I didn't have anything going on. I was ecstatic. A stay-cation away from class and work to head to Independence, MO (only 35 min from me) was exactly what I needed.

Lately I feel like this crazy, beautiful life has kept me busy to say the least. I feel like I didn't realize how busy things were until my best friend tried to plan something with me 2 weeks in advance and I already had prior obligations.That's the way things have been for at least the past month and a half. Work, school, and the weekend is filled up with all sorts of activities. I've been lucky to squeeze in a tennis match honestly. When the City of Independence reached out to me for an influencer visit I was shocked when I looked at my calendar and I didn't have anything going on. I was ecstatic. A stay-cation away from class and work to head to Independence, MO (only 35 min from me) was exactly what I needed.
The hard part about college and often life is that you have to say goodbye to those you love most. However there is almost always an upside to goodbyes. For me the upside is traveling, and seeing the incredible places the world has to offer with the ones whom I love most.

If there is a book I could recommend I certainly would, but I just read the Dorm Room Diet by Daphne Oz...Truth be told it's pretty hard to say goodbyes to people who make your life brighter and bolder (Which I'm sure many of you know too well, I certainly do). Luckily I am a firm believer in the saying, "Absence makes the heart grow fonder" (Cliche, but definitely true). I spent the past few days in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania specifically at the University of Pittsburgh with one of my best pals Stephanie. Seeing Stephanie's integration and college life in this fascinating and diverse town has been such a blessing. Although her Christmas break was short, I got to start my 2015 with a new location and one of the best people I truly know.

We did so much in Pittsburgh. Ventured out into new places, saw incredible art museums, ate at great restaurants, screamed at each other while playing Mario Kart 8, and endured the brutal Pittsburgh weather together. My photo diary skills are still getting there, how did I do? Fortunately I was introduced to the beautiful Sanjana Dayananda who took some insanely stellar photos of me at the Carnegie Museum of Art & Natural History in some of my favourite spots. Pittsburgh was such a treat I cannot wait to visit again!

The hard part about college and often life is that you have to say goodbye to those you love most. However there is almost always an upside to goodbyes. For me the upside is traveling, and seeing the incredible places the world has to offer with the ones whom I love most.

I'm back from my Destin vacation! The few days I stayed went by way too fast with people I love way too much. I did enjoy my away time from university, but truth be told I missed my roommate dearly. I went to Destin, Florida with my best friend Abbey for her sister Beth's wedding. Which happened to be right on the beach. When we arrived I was in awe upon seeing palm trees galore. NYC doesn't have them?! The first thing I did in FL, was get my first pedicure- a little overhyped to me, but I did enjoy it. I was set on a cheeto orange and chose Color Club's, "Psychadelic Scene." We spent the few days shopping at an incredible outlet mall, spending time with family and friends, exploring the beach, screaming at lizards, and setting up for a beautiful beach wedding. I captured most of the moments on my Nikon and only took a few pictures for myself, surprisingly! I wore a Pink Punch dress by Milly to the wedding which I found perfectly suitable for the tropical paradise I was in. I'm happy to be back at school because there aren't hundreds of lizards wandering around outside, but I do miss the Florida sun.

I'm back from my Destin vacation! The few days I stayed went by way too fast with people I love way too much. I did enjoy my away time from university, but truth be told I missed my roommate dearly. I went to Destin, Florida with my best friend Abbey for her sister Beth's wedding. Which happened to be right on the beach. When we arrived I was in awe upon seeing palm trees galore.
