Tis the Tweed

October 25, 2019

Hello friends! Can you believe we are nearing the end of October?! I'm so sad to see October go so I have been trying to do all the fall things! Pumpkin pie concretes at Andys, carving pumpkins, watching Scream with my best friend, and enjoying this lovely weather!
Recently I have been on the prowl for a Chanel-esque blazer. Just something to elevate my neutral outfits and give me enough warmth for fall (Although I think winter has descended upon us in KC). I stumbled on this Cupcakes & Cashmere blazer on eBay for $35. Quite a steal! I think what I like most about this blazer is its versatility. You could wear it with color or pair with neutrals. I find that a lot of tweed blazers are in shades that aren’t super versatile. As I continue this crazy consumption journey, I am looking for pieces that fit with more in my wardrobe rather than less. If you’re obsessed with this blazer too you can rent it on Rent the Runway ($30 for 4 days)! I hope RTR adds more fashion blogger’s collections because I love Gal Meets Glam’s collection but its rather pricey.
Brought the Dionysus belt out! You can read my review on it in this post.
I love the details of this blazer its so sparkly!
I'm obsessed with this nail color. OPI Scotland's Suzi Needs a Loch-Smith. Its such a rich and pretty shade of orange!
I always like a classic blazer with a great pair of denim and a t-shirt (a good alternate is a light sweater too).
Funny story I have wanted these shoes for 5 years. Yes, 5. I remember losing a eBay auction for these back in 2014, but it ended up being a good thing because I got these Rachel Zoe Claudia Suede Leather Buckle boots for $25.
I love this pair. They are definitely a challenge for me to style because I tend to just wear chelsea boots year round, but it's always good to step a little outside my style comfort zone. Plus, I think this pair will be great with my black wrap dress.
My friend Mallory and I stopped into my new favorite coffee shop in KC, Vested Coffee! This place has got to be my favorite coffee shop. The owners are so kind and everything is delicious from the coffee to the pastries. Plus Vested also gives 10% back to Kansas City which is amazing!
Well friends I'm pretty sure I'll be starring in Ice Age 4 pretty soon. It has gotten a bit chilly here in Kansas City. I have started my last two classes of graduate school?! As always I'm learning a lot but I'm exhausted. Pray for me! I have a post headed to the blog next week so talk soon!
