Current Beauty Faves

March 4, 2021

Everyone's relationship with makeup and beauty products looks a little different these days. While my skincare routine never falters I have been easing back into a daily makeup routine. Since I haven't shared any beauty favorites since last March I thought I'd share some current favorites that I've been using that have me re-inspired.
So here's a roundup of my current beauty favorites.

This moisturizer has a great texture and a comforting, light scent. Plus, it's so affordable at $8. I think its a great everyday moisturizer with hardworking ingredients like jojoba, aloe, shea butter, vitamin E, and cucumber.

I found this at TJ Maxx for a $1 and it has easily been one of the best things I've added to my makeup routine. Sometimes I forget SPF in the beginning of my beauty routine so a few spritzes at the end is really a lifesaver. Truthfully I haven't really noticed any effects when it comes to setting my makeup especially since I'm masked up, but I'm pleased with the product and the scent isn't overwhelming.

I've talked about how much I love this booster on the blog before but I'm gonna share it again.
This booster really helps brighten my face and acne scars/inflamed blemishes quickly. Seriously I popped a zit too early and was left with a lot of inflammation. Then I dabbed some of this serum on in the morning + evening and could see a big difference.

Call me a convert. I'm a Laneige fan. I haven't been inspired to put on lip gloss/lipstick much these days so I figured this would be a treat when I found it at TJ Maxx for $10. Although, I was worried this might be one of those sticky lip glosses its so far from that. This balm is super lightweight and keeps your lips feeling soft with a little color. You barely need any product to make a dent. Berry has a pink tint which provides a subtle flush of color for your lips. I can see a little hint of color which is what I need. I find myself reaching for this lip gloss over chapstick in the office. Big fan!

Back in November I raved about this lip mask. This lip mask is such a nice treat to myself especially through this brutal KC winter. With constant masking I've been treating my lips pretty badly but this stuff revives them.
KAT VON D #22 Pressed Powder Brush (Sold out, but similar)

I've wanted this brush forever! Mainly because I've wanted a brush exclusively for blush and with project pan there seemed to be no reason not to get it. Also, Mal convinced me to buy it (Thanks, Mal). It's quite large but works nicely as a blush brush dispersing blush evenly.

Well friends, these are my current beauty favorites! Aside from my beauty favorites I have been enjoying:

The Newsroom, Vogue Beauty Secrets Video Series,  Kings of Leon's new album When You See Yourself, and the Every Outfit podcast (which might be my favorite out of all of this).

  2. I've heard such good things about that lip mask from others as well! I usually just use Luca's Paw paw being a Brissy gal but perhaps I'll give the mask a try when winter rolls around :) The lip balm sounds wonderful too!

Hope you're having a good weekend! It's a nice quiet one here.
