I feel like it has been so long since I've written a Sephora Play review. With two grad school classes and a full time internship I haven't had a lot of spare time to be able to sit down and really pour my thoughts about this past past month's Sephora Play products. But I'm here now and ready to cover some ground!
This is a clinical strength peel with a high dose of retinol (vitamin A) to fight signs of aging (although retinol can basically solve everything). This packet came with two wrinkle recovery peels that you basically just brush over your face after using cleanser or at the end of the night. This product can be used multiple times. Truth be told I really do not have noticeable or bad wrinkles, but my boyfriend has a couple bad ones from smoking. We both tried this peel and although I didn't see much result he did. It was crazy. One of his wrinkles from smoking was practically gone. I feel like you continuously have to use this serum to have long lasting result as I am seeing a little of the wrinkle coming back. These peels can last what seems like a week. Be sure to keep this in a really tight sandwich bag so it doesn't dry out or lose its serum.
Not sure how I felt about this skin tint foundation. I really did want a tinted moisturizer, but was kinda expecting better coverage especially from MUF. Its a very light coverage. On days where I don't want to wear foundation I mix this and DR. JART+ Premium Beauty Balm SPF 45 and some Almay Instant Glow Highlighting Duo together and love the result. Very dewy. Like when I watch the Vogue models makeup routine on Snapchat and I'm like, "Hmm maybe I should try to do my makeup in the "no makeup" kinda way," then decide otherwise.
Passed this off to the boyfriend! He has some pretty deep smoking wrinkles and this took them out! I think I might need to buy a full size for him.
Ugh these lip glosses make me upset. I'm so tired of these lip gloss minis. Give me something real Sephora Play! Like Bite or Marc Jacobs!
I haven't tried much from Becca, but I've always wanted to. This is a pearlescent primer that "blurs imperfections." It claims to smooth your skin and smoothly apply your foundation so it applies easier and doesn't settle into pores. The crushed pearl in the formula gives it a backlight effect. You're supposed to apply a couple drops and apply it to the center of your face and apply outwards. I haven't seen anything super life changing from this primer compared to the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer which I adore. However I do get a nice glow in addition to my face feeling smoother before makeup application.
Verb Hydrating Shampoo & Conditioner
This shampoo claims to cleansing and hydrating. It has hydrolyzed quinoa whatever hipster crap that is?, and sunflower seed extract. Its supposed to give moisture back to your hair while also detangling it. I love this shampoo and conditioner! It worked really well with my thin/oily hair. Out of all the shampoo/conditioner packets Sephora Play sends I was least annoyed by this one! If I ever saw this at TJ Maxx I'd snag it! Hey Sephora Play, ever thought of sending bottles?! So I can recycle them?
Overall I wasn't displeased with this box but I am thinking about changing my skin care needs so the anti-aging products aren't so heavy. I do like being able to have products to share with friends! Ciao friends, talk soon.

This is a decent box but wow, the samples are so tiny! I think you'll be happier with BoxyCharm.
